At Timoney Leadership Institute we organise high-powered leadership programmes for top executives from Ireland and the UK who are keen to inspire and to make a lasting positive difference for the people they work with, the organisations they serve, and society as a whole.

Our programmes have grown in quality and strength thanks to the feedback received from alumni and participants at programmes and courses. We use Salesforce as the platform for managing all our events, and an essential element of this environment is the survey questionnaires we design with SurveyVista which are sent to all participants during or after every event.

To maintain the high calibre of our programmes, attended by demanding executives with high expectations, it is crucial for us that we rank the performance of participating faculty: professors from prestigious business schools such as Harvard &IESE, specialised guests’ speakers, etc. SurveyVista’s unique functionality and ease of design allows us to generate reports that assign scores to specific professors or even specific case studies on each programme. Over the years, this scoring method has proven invaluable for deciding on the faculty to engage in subsequent events, and who should better be avoided in future.

On the questionnaires we design with SurveyVista, out of the great variety of questions the app offers, we elicit responses mostly with Rating questions (for faculty and case studies or talks), and with radio-questions (chose one of several options) to which we assign specific scores.

For instance, a professor might score 4.7 from 5 as an average of the scores she receives from all the respondents at a particular event for her three sessions; yet she might have scored only 4.2 at a similar event the previous month. That way we can compare numerically between courses and between faculty members and speakers.

We really appreciate also the flexibility of methods for sending surveys: the fact that you can send to a mixture of email addresses (responses received as anonymous), of Contacts in our Salesforce database, or of our own staff (as Users) for gathering internal feedback on how we felt a course went. But most impressively of all, the fact that we can send surveys to any custom objects related to a Contact’s email address. This has proven invaluable for us, as we are able to identify Contacts who have registered to an event, webinar or course, and send them the survey using the Registration custom object itself. We have not seen this level of flexibility in any of the Survey apps for Salesforce that we tested.

The support and flexibility provided by Ardira Corporate Website development team is what has made all this possible. They have been working closely with us to make sure that their product satisfied the challenging requests that our business processes demanded.
